Plot Summary[]

With Uncle Fester's power boost, Pugsley can reach Tokyo and Calcutta on his shortwave radio in the Code Room, their new name for the play room. Hollister is an undercover operative who's been picking up odd radio signals coming from The Addams Family Mansion. Convinced that The Addams Family are spies, he recruits the postman, Mr. Briggs, to help. Briggs panics when he gets in the house and sees Thing and Kitty Kat and flees. Hollister then tries the plumber, Conkey, who's been called in to fix Kitty's water fountain. Fester catches Conkey spying on Gomez playing Trainwreck, but they just send him back downstairs. They catch him hiding behind Cleopatra, so they ask to see his union card. When he sneaks through the secret tunnel into the Code Room, Morticia calls the authorities, moving up the chain of command, and ending up with Hollister. Morticia is convinced that Hollister is a spy, so they capture him and lock him up in Grandmama's stockade. He sees that the source of the odd signals is Pugsley's new ham radio. Washington vouches for Hollister, so the family allows him to go.
