Theodore Crawford "Ted" Cassidy (31 July 1932 – 16 January 1979) was an American actor known for his height and his deep voice.

He appeared in a wide variety of television shows, including I Dream of Jeannie and Star Trek.

Cassidy played Lurch and Thing in the original television series of The Addams Family and in the television special Halloween with the New Addams Family. He reprised the role of Lurch in the 1973 animated series. He also voiced Lurch in the The New Scooby-Doo Movies episode "Wednesday Is Missing".
