Theodore Crawford "Ted" Cassidy (1932 – 1979) was an American actor known for his height and his deep voice.
He appeared in a wide variety of television shows including I Dream of Jeannie and Star Trek.
Ookiness
He is best known for playing Lurch in the original television series of The Addams Family. He reprised this role in the 1973 animated series, the television special Halloween with the New Addams Family, and the Batman episode "The Penguin's Nest."
