Sam Picasso is an acquaintance of The Addams Family.
When Grandmama took up painting, Gomez Addams tried to call Pablo Picasso in Spain to teach her, but reached Sam Picasso instead. Sam was a starving artist, and was about to hang himself when Gomez called. A paying job and free ship ticket easily convinced him to come to America. Sam suffered such Addams ookiness as Kitty Kat, Cleopatra, and being locked in the Play Room, before retreating to Spain to take up bullfighting, which he considered safer.[1]
He later returned to America and became an art dealer. Gomez paid him to buy Morticia's "awful" sculptures to spare her feelings.[2]
