Summary[]

Wednesday and Pugsley can't sleep because a storm has made it nice and gloomy. They slide down the fireman's pole and ask to hear the rest of the story about what was to be Gomez' and Ophelia's wedding day.

When Uncle Fester came for the wedding, Morticia asked again for his help. He suggested finding Ophelia another man, and went to talk to Gomez' Cousin Itt. Itt and Ophelia took a stroll in the garden and fell in the quicksand. Gomez went down to the secret tunnel to be alone with his thoughts, but Morticia went to look for him in the play room, heard Cousin Fungus' cackling and followed it through the secret tunnel to find Gomez.

The wedding ceremony proceeded, but when the officiant asked if anyone objected, Gomez finally mustered the courage to say so. Ophelia was unfazed, as she had fallen for Cousin Itt anyway, leaving Gomez and Morticia free to marry.

The children are happy with the story's ending, though Pugsley wanted to hear more about Cousin Itt's playboy ways, and they return to bed again.
